Description of event
LA-ICP-MS, SIMS and NanoSIMS have become analytical tools of great importance in the geological and environmental sciences, and NanoSIMS sub-cellular imaging is now entering the Life Sciences. The Center for Advanced Surface Analysis (CASA) offers a 3 day- short course for PhD students, Postdocs, and other interested researchers. The goal is to familiarize potential future users with the capabilities of each of these analytical techniques. For each instrument, presentations will be given that cover scientific applications (Day 1), technical aspects of instrument functioning and analysis (Day 2), and a visit to each labs (Day 3).
The number of participants is limited to 30.
